Babies are definitely on the brain for Selena Gomez and fiancé Benny Blanco! Both musicians have previously expressed their desire to have a child in the future, but now sources are saying that timeline may be closer than previously thought.

Insiders Reveal Details of Selena Gomez & Benny Blanco’s Baby Plans

The duo, who have been engaged since Dec. 2024, are currently planning their wedding right now — but soon after, they reportedly want to expand their family.

“The first thing on their list is to get married, they aren’t going to do anything before that,” an insider told OK! Magazine today.

“But once they are married, a baby will be the next priority because they’re both eager to start a family.”

Eeeee! Baby Selena will be so cute, and we are so excited that this might be a reality soon! Sources also told the outlet that although the “Call Me When You Break Up” singer “has been advised against pregnancy because of her health issues,” they have still been looking into other options like surrogacy and/or adoption.

“Whatever they choose, surrogacy or adoption, it’s going to take a lot more planning and time than simply doing it the old-fashioned way,” the insider dished.

“That’s why they want to get the ball rolling. There’s a lot to consider with both adoption and surrogacy, so at the moment they’re talking to people that have walked the road before to get advice.”

In an interview with Vanity Fair in September, the Only Murders in the Building star got vulnerable about her inability to carry children due to her experience with bipolar disorder and lupus.

“I haven’t ever said this,” Gomez said, “but I unfortunately can’t carry my own children. I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby’s in jeopardy. That was something I had to grieve for a while.”

Despite having to grieve the way she thought she would become a mother, Gomez is still excited to have a baby in whatever form that might take.

“It’s not necessarily the way I envisioned it,” Gomez said of her family planning. “I thought it would happen the way it happens for everyone.

[But] I’m in a much better place with that. I find it a blessing that there are wonderful people willing to do surrogacy or adoption, which are both huge possibilities for me.”

“It made me really thankful for the other outlets for people who are dying to be moms,” she continued.

“I’m one of those people. I’m excited for what that journey will look like, but it’ll look a little different. At the end of the day, I don’t care. It’ll be mine. It’ll be my baby.”

Good for her! We love seeing how happy Gomez is and are so excited for her, whatever the future holds
